HVAR

Description:

Hvar is the most solar island in Adriatic Sea. Having got on island, it is necessary to examine local sights, for example, the oldest public European theater (1612year), a cathedral of the Renaissance with an original belltower. Also there is in this cathedral a rich vestry and pictures of old masters. Besides, interest for tourists represent a Franciscan monastery in Hvare, residence Gektorovicha in Stari-hailstones, church in Jelse and the Venetian lock in Suchurae.

Climate

On island is subtropical climate. Average temperature in winter 12С, in summer 29С.

Transport

To reach the island it is possible only by water. There are three ferry lines, and also it is possible to reach by catamaran: Hvar– Split, Stari Hailstones – Pescara. The public transport on island is practically absent, therefore ideal means of transportation – the car or a moped leased.
