ARLES
Description:
Arles is a town of French Provence, located just west of Marseille, on the banks of the Rhone. Arles flourished in the 5th century during the reign of the Roman emperors, who chose this city as a staging post during the major military companies. Most of the sites of Arles witness that period-namely, the ancient theater and an amphitheater, as well as a part of the city wall. The cathedral of St. Trophime, built in 7 century, is also of historical value. In general, Arles is a quiet but interesting town a walk through which will undoubtedly bring pleasure to tourists.

Arles has a Mediterranean climate. This means that summers are hot and sunny, while winters are mild, despite periodic gusts of cold wind mistral.Transport
The railway station connects the city to Paris, Avignon, Nimes, Marseille, Bordeaux. Due to the small size of the city the easiest way to travel is by foot.
