COLMAR

Description:

Colmar is a beautiful Alsatian town, located midway between Basel and French Strasbourg. Its oldest part is like an open-air museum, where you can see buildings of all architectural styles of the Middle Ages and modern times, such as a unique House of Heads, the oldest Pfister house, a Dominican monastery , the Little Venice district etc. The climate of the city is very favorable for wine-making and the number of vineyards in Colmar vies with Bordeaux, although it mainly specializes in white wines. Summer festival of Alsatian wines is held here in August as well as the Colmar International Festival of Culture and many other interesting activities.

Climate
