Description:

La Baule is a city on the Atlantic coast of France, known primarily for its beaches (the length of one of them is 12 km.) casinos, comfortable hotels and private villas. Up to the 19-th century La Baule had been a simple fishing village, before a railway appeared there. Now it is one of the most popular resorts of the Atlantic coast, where tourists come to have fun and improve their health, because La Baule is also the largest thalassotherapy center. Night life of the town bustles in casinos and clubs, while during the day time visitors will appreciate the pleasant walk along the coast, the central Avenue de Gaulle with many beautiful villas, shops and restaurants.

The climate of La Baule belongs to the oceanic type with high humidity and moderate temperatures. The average July temperature is 18,6 ° C, in December 5-6 ° C.

Transport

The city has two railway stations that connect La Baule with the neighboring coastal cities. Also there are TGV trains plying on the route Paris-Nantes-Le Croisic. The way to Paris will take about 3 hours and about an hour to Nantes. There is almost no public transport in the city, except for a few private buses. But for those who want to explore the coast there is are 126 km. long bicycle paths
