Description:
Lyon is a wonderful city in the south east of France where 2 major rivers meet, the Rhone and the Saone. It is on this exceptional site that this Gallic city called Lugdunum or Lyon was built. This city has a rich history and the remains of its gallic-roman empire, Italian renaissance quarters, classic buildings can be found in its agglomerations but Lyon is also a modern international city where the art of good living is best reflected in its world-famous gastronomy. Each stage of the city%27s history is reflected in his appearance; guests will be able to see Roman amphitheatres, magnificent palaces of the Renaissance and modern skyscrapers. The active old Lyon consists of the Saint-Jean, Saint-Paul and Saint-Georges quarters with its magnificent old residences.
