Climate

Marseille has a Mediterranean climate. It means that summers here are hot and dry, lasting 6 months from May to October. The hottest months are July and August (up to 30 ° C). Winters are mild (December, January and February) with the average temperature 12 ° C. Marseille is also known by the cold wind Mistral from the valley of the Rhone river, which usually occurs in winter and spring.

Transport

Marseille is served by the Provence Airport with regular shuttles bringing passengers to the railway station of Marseille St. Charles. Public transport is represented by the metro, trams (from 2007) and buses. Metro consists of two branches, and operates from 5:00 to 21:30. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until 00:30.
