ZAKOPANE

Description:

Zakopane is the most popular polish mountain resort named also winter capital of Poland. is Locked in by hills this place is of mountain skiing fans special interes: six zones of driving, a score of various elevating devices and complexes both for professional skiers, and for beginners and even for children. In Zakopane there are also traditional sights: original Gorale folklore, picturesque wooden architecture, The Museum of the Zakopane Style, Kornel Makuszynski Museum, ceramics Factory, Tatra Museum, the Museum of the Nature and many other things.

Climate

The ski season proceeds from December to April. In January-February the thermometer shows -5C - 10C. Klimat is soft.

Transport

Zakopane is in 100 km from Krakow, it is possible to reach by train or by the bus. The nearest airport is Poprad-Tatry Airport (Slovakia), 70 km.
