BRASOV

Description:

Brasov is one of ten largest cities of Romania. Brasov is also the beginning of Transylvania and accordingly of all mysterious and Gothic. Tourists are involved with Gothic Black church which has got the black color because of fire which was made by the Austrian army. There is the statue of Johannesa Honterusa, the educator, follower Martin Luther near the church. It is necessary to visit the oldest city monument - Church of the St. Bartolomeja and the first Romanian school - St. Nikolay%27s church. In Brasov there are very original gate - Ekaterina%27s gate. In the city you can visit some museums: the History museum, the Ethnography museum, a museum of Art and a museum of the First School. In 15 km from Brasov there is a fortress of Teutonic knights Ryshnov.

The climate is subalpine, June is rainy, air temperature in summer months nearby +17°C, in winter -4°C.

Transport

The nearest airports - Sibiu and Bucharest. From the capital of the country to Brashov go 19 trains per day.
