Description:

Crans-Montana is mountain resort in Switzerland in the Valais canton. It is situated on the Rhone River bank at the foot of Berner Alps. Crans-Montana has plenty of various hotels, restaurants, cafés and shops. In winter this town attracts skiing lovers while in summer it turns into golf games center. From the observation site Bella Lui (2543 m) in clear day you can see glaciers of Pennine Alps.

Climate

Inspite of the fact that Crans-Montana is situated in the cool and warm climate zone, it is considered to be one of the driest areas of the whole Europe.

Transport

You can go from Crans-Montana to the town Sierre by the funicular and to Sion by bus. You can get around the town by bicycle or on foot.
