SAAS-FEE

Description:

Saas Fee is the main town in the Saas valley in the Valais canton. This resort is situated very close to Dom and Allainhor glaciers, so you can skiing or snow boarding during the whole year. In addition, presence of Weissmies, Nadelhorn and Lenzspitze peaks attracts hundreds of alpine skiers. Also here you can try to walk in special “snowshoe” that goes back to northern people traditions, fly on paraplane or hang glider or just go sleighing. Saas Fee slopes are equipped by numerous ski lifts. City’s slogan is “Die Perle der Alpen” (Alps Gem).

Climate

Because of its alpine location Saas Fee has quite cold weather. In winter temperature fall to -18C, in summer it is about 19C. Sun is shining and views are stunning.

Transport

It is not allowed to come to Sass Fee in a car, you have to park your vehicle outside the town. In summer you can reach the town by bus from Brig and Visp, however in winter it is harder. You can get around Saas Fee by small electric buses.
