Description:
Geneva is the second largest city in Switzerland, it was found even before Christ and toady is home to many UNO institutions. For a long period of time till 1813 Geneva had been independent but after became Switzerland canton. This city is also “Rome” of the Reformation as John Calvin lived there. All these facts make dwellers of Geneva proud of their city. Geneva is home to many cultural objects of world significance: St-Pierre Cathedral, Palace of Nations, International Museum of the Reformation and International Museum of the Red Cross. Be sure to pay attention at the huge fountain Jet d%27Eau that is the symbol of Geneva. Visit Quartier des Grottes district (architectures tried to avoid straight lines) and Russo Island where citizens love to spend their lunch time. Official language is French.

Climate is temperate. Winter is mild with light frosts and snow. Summer is warm, autumn is wetter than other seasons. In general climate is very comfortable.Transport
Geneva is served by its own international airport. Railway station Gare de Cornavin is served by Swiss Federal Railway company, it links the city with other parts of Switzerland, France and some other countries. Compagnie Générale de Navigation provides excursion and boat tours around Geneva lake. You can get around the city by bus, trolley bus or tram.
