Blackpool, located on the West coast of England and facing the Irish Sea, has been a classic seaside tourist destination for over 150 years. It has a population of 142,900 inhabitants. A third of the tourists coming to Blackpool come in early autumn to see its famous gleaming festival of light, called the Blackpool Illuminations. This festival is more than a century old. Blackpool is also famous for its endless beaches with three piers and a very long promenade. Do not miss the impressive replica of the Eiffel tower, the Blackpool tower which offers incredible views.
