ILFRACOMBE

Description:

Ilfracombe is a small seaside resort town in Northern Devon with picturesque harbor surrounded by cliffs. The main landmarks here are modern theatre building and St Nicolas chapel on the hill. From Ilfracombe It is easy to go to Exmoor National Park, also Dartmoor National Park with hills and fens is only 1 hour drive away. One more option is to go to one of the nearby lovely cities, like Woolacombe or Croyde Bay. Ilfracombe is suitable for those who like to escape from the whole world.

Climate

Climate is temperate maritime as everywhere in Great Britain. Summer is cool (July temperature is 15-20C) and winter is mild (in January temperature usually doesn’t fall under 0C). The driest and the sunniest season is from April to September.

Transport

Bristol is only 2 hours drive by car. There are ferries to Swansea and marvelous Lundy Island. Buses run to the nearest cities and also to London and Heathrow Airport. The nearest railway station is in Barnstaple.
