Description:
Lincoln is a city in Lincolnshire with the population of about 85 thousand people. It is famous for its cathedral and castle situated in the old part of the city with medieval street pattern. Location of the cathedral is considered to be one of the best in Europe, architectural decoration is unique, so don’t miss roof tours there. The construction of the castle began William the Conqueror in the XI century, today there is the Crown Court, prison museum and perfect views of the city. It is enjoyable to stroll around narrow cobbled streets of Lincoln. There are not only outstanding old buildings but also rather interesting shops and restaurants. Try to find windmill, Roman remains, Jew’s House of XII century and former psychiatric hospital that now is a hothouse.

Climate is temperate maritime as everywhere in Great Britain. Summer is cool (July temperature is 15-20C) and winter is mild (in January temperature usually doesn’t fall under 0C). The driest and the sunniest season is from April to September.Transport
There are direct trains from Lincoln to Newark (take a change to London there), Grimsby, Nottingham and Doncaster (Robin Hood Airport). City center can be easily explored on foot.
