SKEGNESS

Description:

Skegness is a popular English resort that is situated on the North Sea shore in Lincolnshire and has the population of about 20 thousand people. Tourists come here for calm holidays, clean beaches, beautiful nature and tasty food. Not far from Skegness there is a natural reserve where you can watch seals. Among other city attractions are Clock Tower, long pier, gardens and parks. In summer Skegness holds carnival and big musical event SO Festival.

Climate

Climate is maritime. Summer is cool and winter is very mild. Average July temperature is less than 25C, in January it doesn’t fall under 0C. Skegness experiences relatively big number of sunny days.

Transport

Lincoln is only 70 km away. Bus and railway communications link Skegness with almost all cities of the country. There are direct routes to Lincoln, Boston, Mablethorpe and more. The nearest airport is in Kirmington (about 60 km).
