Description:

Keswick is a small town in Cumbria with the population of only 5 thousand people, situated near Lake District National Park. Keswick is a favorite place for those who like to walk, climb and play cricket, for photographers and artists, for everyone who enjoys mountain and lakes sceneries. In the rainy day interesting shops, pencil museum and thriving theatre on the lake will allay tour boredom.

Climate

Climate is temperate maritime. Weather during the day is changeable, the area is generally sunnier and drier than other parts of the country. Summer is cool (only 10 days in July rich 25C temperature) and winter is mild (temperatures under 0C in January are uncommon).

Transport

The nearest railway station is in Pentrith (about 25 km). Buses run around the whole Lake District. The best way to get in Keswick is by car. Inside the town don’t use any transport, just walk and walk.
