Description:

Banff is a small town in the Alberta province in Canada. Banff is situated in the center of national park along Trans-Canadian motorway not far from Calgary. Banff is one of the most popular tourist destinations of Canada thanks to mountains and hot springs. There you also can do sports – walking, skiing and cycling. In the Banff area there are 3 alpine ski resorts: Sunshine Village, Ski Norquay and Lake Louise Mountain Resort. The highest nearby mountains are Mount Rundle, Cascade Mountain and Mount Norquay. A few km from Banff there is picturesque lake Minnewanka.

Climate in Banff is subarctic passing into wet continental. Winter temperature minimum is -14C, in summer temperature usually doesn’t rise above 22C.

Transport

Local bus network Roam that consists of two lines works in Banff. The nearest airport is in Calgary not very far from Banff. Also the town has its own railway station.
