Halifax is the city in Canada that used to be the capital of New Scotland province for long time but later was included in the formation of Halifax area. This area today is the most populated on the Atlantic ocean coast in Canada. Nature here is breathtaking: sandy beaches, indented coast line, gardens, fishing villages… In the city center you can visit various museums, galleries, concerts and cheerful Celtic parties! Atlantic maritime museum keeps things connected with Titanic.

Climate

Although New Scotland province is situated on the peninsula, climate here is closer to continental than to maritime. High and law temperatures typical for this climate are softened by the sea.

Transport

Halifax Stanfield International Airport is the nearest, it connects Halifax with other areas of the country, Europe, USA and Antilles. Airport is 30 minutes drive from the city center. Halifax has a railway station that is served by VIA Rail Canada company. Also there is sea transport (Marine Atlantic Ferries, Northumberland Ferries, The Confederation), visit the port for detailed information. You can get around Halifax by bus.
