Fairbanks is the second-large city in Alaska with the population of about 35 thousand people. There situated the oldest in Alaska University with adjacent Museum with delightful exhibitions about history, culture and nature of the land. Denali National Park which is 1,5 hour drive from the city is situated in the tundra around McKinley Mountain and has a glacier and many species of wild animals including moose, grizzly and caribou. About 100 km away from the Fairbanks is Chena Hot Springs Resort.

Fairbanks is a transportation hub of Alaska. It has developed railroad, air and bus connection. Fairbanks International Airport provides flights to Vancouver, Anchorage, Seattle, Barrow, Denver and other cities. You can get to Anchorage by train but the journey on a car could be reallu breath-taking although long.
