Description:

Boulder is a city in Colorado situated at the foot of Rocky Mountains on the height of 1600 meters. It has the population of about 100 thousand people. Boulder was founded by gold diggers and thanks to railroad and Colorado University it gradually became a big and wealthy city. Boulder is surrounded by beautiful nature, natural reserves, canyons, rivers and parks. There you can walk for the whole day, ride a bicycle, go skiing, climb the rocks, enjoy the views and what not. The historical center is full of perfect restaurants, shops and street artists. Coffee houses, bars and book stores can be found in the University Hill district. Boulder is a very vibrant city with really creative citizens. People there run naked with the pumpkin on their head, in the New Years eve dive into the glades, ride the bicycles wearing theme costumes, once a year smoke the grass on the University campus. And side by side with all this things they are famous for the healthiest lifestyle in USA. Boulder is a fairy town. It has the status of the happiest, the most artistic, the brainiest, the healthiest and the greenest city, a real place to live, raise a family and grow old.

Climate

Climate is semi-arid. Most days of the year are sunny. Winter is quite cold with snowfalls and the average temperature of -5C. Summer is hot and dry with the average July temperature of 30C. During the whole year night temperatures are significantly lower than the day ones.

Transport

Denver International Airport is about 1 hour drive from Boulder. It is convenient to move around the city and suburbs by bus and light rail. Driving a car can be often quite problematic because of heavy traffic and untrammeled movement of pedestrians and cyclists. For their disposal there are kilometers of bikeways.
