TELLURIDE

Description:

Telluride is a former miner town and current popular ski resort in Colorado with the population of only 2 thousand people. It is situated at the foot of Rocky Mountains on the San Miguel River near Bridal Veil Falls. Unique nature conditions make this place attractive for tourists during the whole year. Telluride itself is also very beautiful, almost all buildings are included in the National Register of Historic Places. One more real Telluride advantage is its location near numerous Colorado vineyards. Ouray town with its hot springs and marvelous forests is only one hour drive from Telluride.

Climate

Winter is very snowy with usual January temperature near -5C and rare snow storms. Summer is warm. In July temperature can both rise to 25C or falls to 5C.

Transport

Telluride is served by Telluride Regional Airport that provides regular flights to Denver and Phoenix. Also you can use Montrose Regional Airport that is about 100 km away from Telluride. It is convenient to move around the city by free bus, also a free gondola connects Telluride with mountain Village.
