DESTIN

Description:

Destin is a city in Florida famous for emerald water and white sand of its splendid endless beaches. Destin is situated on the peninsula that separates Mexico Gulf from Choctawatchee Bay. From small fishing village it grew to popular resort city with population of 10 thousand people that increases to 40 thousand during the touristy season. Visitors can rent a fishing vessel, take part in Fishing Rodeo (held in October) or Seafood Festival (again October). Destin is a city of lucky fishing.

Climate

There are about 300 sunny days a year. Winter is mild with average temperature of 8C. Summer heat is softened by the proximity of Mexico Gulf, average temperature is 30C. Autumn and spring are very comfortable.

Transport

Destin is served by Destin-Wolton Beach Airport. There is an air base not far from the city. The best way to move around the city is by car.
