Description:
Hays is a city in Kansas on the Beg Creek River with the population of about 20 thousand people. Almost half of all citizens has German roots and may be nostalgia is the reason of double Oktoberfest celebration. In addition, people of Hays dance polka in March and organize carnival in June during The Wild West Festival. Campus of Fort Hays State University is home for Sternberg Museum of Natural History where you can see dinosaurs and big diorama that is rare in our days. Also constructions of Fort Hays have preserved and now are referred to the Fort Hays Frontier Historic Park.
Climate
Climate combines features of humid subtropical, humid continental and moderate semi-arid zones. Summer is hot, humidity is inconstant.
