VICKSBURG

Description:

This is a small town in State Mississippi that was of importance during the Civil War. Today this is an important cultural center. This city with a population of no more than 30 thousand people has dozen nice museums and a casino on the bank of Mississippi. The most interesting are Historic Anchuca Mansion surrounded with old oaks and Coca-Cola Museum which presents original equipment used to bottle famous beverage for the first time in 1894, collection of labels and advertising and many other things.

Climate

Climate is moderate. During the warmest month July temperature is about 28C, in January it falls to 6C. The maximum average precipitation occurs in March.

Transport

Not far from the town there is Regional Airport and Municipal Vicksburg Airport. Highways #80 and 61 passes through the city.
