HELENA

Description:

Helena is the capital city in Montana with the population of about 30 thousand people. While walking around the historic center of the city you can admire the Great North carousel carved from wood and decorated with animal images, then call at the unusual ice cream parlour, walk up the stairs of Old Fire Town, take pause for breath in Saint Helena Cathedral and drop at Montana Historic Museum with artworks of famous Western artists. Other worth-visiting attractions are The Gates of the Mountains of the Missouri River, Helene National Forest, ghost-town Castle and the Mount Helena with trails and a park overlooking the city.

Climate is semi-arid. Winter is long and cold, moderately snowy with average temperature of about -7C. Summer is hot and dry with average temperature of 20C.
