GRAND ISLAND
Description:
Grand Island is a city in Nebraska near the junction of two rivers with the population of about 50 thousand people. It was founded by Germans in 1857. In 19th century Grand Island was the center of mule trade. Today it is home for Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center and Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer with both indoor and outdoor activities and various historical reconstructions.

Grand Island is served by Central Nebraska Regional Airport that provides flights to Dallas, Phoenix, Denver, Kansas-City and other places. The nearest big cities are Lincoln and Kansas City.
