Description:
Kearney is a city in Nebraska with the population of about 30 thousand people. It was founded in 1871 but some time before there existed settlement of immigrants from Sweden. Today Kearney is home for Nebraska University branch, Museum of Nebraska Art and big archway over Interstate 80. City is charming in March when sandhill cranes stop here and gain weight before they continue their migration. Not far from the city is Fort Kearny State Historical Park.

Climate is moderate. Summer is humid and warm with average July temperature of 25C. Winter is quite cold and with not much snow. Average January temperature is -5C. The most precipitation occurs from may to August.Transport
