Location. This landmark building, overlooking the bustling, tree lined streets of the West Village, is one of the most unique in all of Manhattan. Restaurants with food from all nations, jazz clubs, old neighborhood bars, and taverns flourish on the street below. Within walking distance of Chelsea, Tribeca, and SoHo, the Atrium is also close to west side subways and other public transportation options. Chinatown and Little Italy are each just one mile away.
Features. The Atrium, housed in a ten story glass building, allows for amazing light and views of the Empire State Building. Services such as a concierge desk, daily newspapers, and laundry facilities are included. Express check out is available and there is a 24 hour doorman on site. The hotel has both guests and apartment residents, giving the hotel the feel of a real New York City apartment.

Guestrooms. These studio and one bedroom apartments offer pleasant views and plenty of light. Beamed ceilings, oak floors, throw rugs and comfortable couches provide an inviting, home like atmosphere. The suites feature central air, new furnishings, pull out sofa beds, and updated electronics including a CD stereo, television, VCR, cordless phone and answering machine. Kitchens include refrigerators, microwave ovens and coffeemakers for easy self catering. Groceries can be purchased at a supermarket right down the street.

Expert Tip. The Atrium was constructed by Ogden L. Mills, the famous American businessman and politician, as a workers hostel. At the time the rooms cost 10 cents for one night. Needless to say, the living arrangements have been upgraded a great deal since then.
