Carlisle is a town in Pennsylvania close to Harrisburg with the population of about 20 thousand people. In 2010 Forbes acknowledged it as one of the best places to raise a family but in the same time it is rumoured that Carlisle is boring. There situated The U.S. Army War College with its own museum. Also car shows are held regularly. Alumni of Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet school are known in the whole world. On the main street you still can enjoy some buildings with interesting architecture.

Climate

Climate is continental. Summer is hot and humid, winter is cool. Average July temperature is 20C, in January it falls to -5C. Most precipitation occurs in September.

The town itself doesn’t have public transportation. Nearest transport junctions are situated in Harrisburg.
