STATE COLLEGE

Description:

State College is a borough in Pennsylvania that sheltered State Pennsylvania University. Population is about 42 thousand people but several times a year State College turns into one of the state biggest cities as more than hundred thousand guests come here. Many people are attracted by football matches, in July city is crowded with all who wishes to take part in Art Festival. During this time streets are full of booths with hand-made goods, stands with local dishes and also there a lot of musicians and artists. City center has many interesting restaurants and bars, in winter skiing tracks function and in general State College is acknowledged by American sociologist as one of the best place to live, raise a family and make a career.

Climate is continental, seasons are strongly marked. Average July temperature is 22C, in January it falls to -4C. In winter from time to time occur snowfalls.

Transport

State College is served by University Park airport. You can go to New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburg and Harrisburg by bus from here.
