York is a city in Pennsylvania with the population of about 45 thousand people. York is often called the museum of architecture because there preserved a lot of historical buildings of 18-19 centuries, for example the Golden Plow tavern (1741), the general Horatio Gates house (1751), Central Market House (1888) and many others. York also offers many free excursions called to introduce citizens and guests the daily routine of numerous factories situated here. For example you can visit Wolfgang Candy Company, Harley Davidson Factory, Barbell Factory and many others. York Fair is held in September and lasts for almost 10 days. It is considered to be the oldest Fair in the country.

The nearest big airports are situated in Harrisburg and Baltimore. The nearest Amtrak station is situated in Lancaster, about 40 km from York, from there you can get to Philadelphia. In York itself there are buses that go to Harrisburg, Washington, Baltimore, Timonium, Lancaster, Philadelphia and New York. It is convenient to move around the city and its suburbs by bus, the center can be easily explored on foot.
