Description:

This is a city in Texas with the population of about 150 thousand people. Elvis Presley lived there for some time. There are not many attractions in Killeen. It would be interesting to visit the biggest military base Fort Hood but it is quite difficult to get inside. Not many historical buildings preserved, among them notable little chapel of 19 century. Various shops compensate to some extent the lack of sightseeings.

The warmest month is July, average temperature is 28C. In January it falls to 5C.

Transport

There is an airport that provides regional flights (Dallas, Huston, Atlanta) and also international airport Austin Bergstrom that is not very far from the city. It is convenient to move around the city by bus. There is a couple of highways passes near the Killeen.
