Description:

Glen Allen is a city in Virginia with the population of about 13 thousand people. It is recommended to visit Meadow Farm of 19 century with its costumed excursions that introduce visitors the daily life of the farm and its owners. Farm complex includes a barn, doctor’s office, smithy forge, kitchen, pasture and fields. On the Lavender Herb Farm except growing of various herbs owners make soap, gather honey, make lavender ice cream, lemonade and cookies. Every spring there are fairs. In Glen Allen neighborhood you can find a lot of wineries with regular tasting and other events.

Climate is moderate, summer is wet with average July temperature of 26C. In January tempreture falls to 2C. Most precipitation occurs in May.

Not far from Glen Allen there is Richmond International Airport. The city itself is surrounded by network of highways.
