Description:
Staunton is a distinctive city in Virginia with the population of about 24 thousand people. This is a home town of Woodrow Wilson, the 28 president of USA. Perfect library named after him is opened for all visitors. Museum of Frontier Culture introduces visitors the early and quite exciting period of country’s life. Staunton has preserved a lot of historical structures that are attractive not only for their architectural value but also for notable events connected with them. For example Ingleside Resort inn during World War II was a place where foreign aliens were imprisoned and it is still functions as a hotel. Staunton is also a home for American Shakespeare centre and Blackfriar theatre replica. Betsy Bell park situated on the top of the mountain has beautiful views while Gypsy and Montgomery parks offer anything from sport to concerts and fairs. Also in Staunton there is a College for Deaf and Blind.

From Staunton you can get to many cities of the country by train. Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport and Charlottesville Airport are in one our drive from the city. The nearest big cities are Richmond and Washington. Staunton Center can be easily explored on foot and also there is free trolley.
