CHEYENNE
Description:
Cheyenne is the biggest city in Wyoming with the population of about 60 thousand people. There are several parks and golf courses, botanical garden and in addition plenty of trails that lay around neighborhood natural reserves which you can use for walking and watching the nature’s life. Not far from the city there is one of the oldest military Air Base in the country. Many mansions and some churches have preserved in the city center also the Capital Building and the Courthouse are notable. You can learn about the history of the land in the Wyoming State Museum and the Old West Museum. About 10 km away from the city there is a rancho where 2000 bison and other animals live. Cheyenne Frontier Days are held every year in July. This is one of the biggest rodeo festivals in the country.
Climate
Climate is semi-arid. Winter is cold and quite long with average January temperature of about 4C. Snowfall is greatest in March and April. Summer is warm with average July temperature of about 20C.Transport
Cheyenne Airprt provides daily flights to Denver and Dallas. You can get to Dallas also by car or by shuttle express and the journey will take about 1,5-2 hours. It is convenient to move around the city both by car and by bus, also you can use a bicycle.
