ADELAIDE

Description:

Adelaide is the capital of Southern Australia state, it was names in honor of the wife of Great Britain King William IV. Adelaide was found in 1836 on the Torrens river. Today historic center is surrounded by large park area and Adelaide beaches are famous for its perfect sand and azure water. Visit the beach area Glenelg in the city outskirts, watch the wonderful panorama of Adelaide from Motefiore hill, visit numerous museums and cultural events and try local wine that won’t leave you indifferent.

Climate

Climate is Mediterranean, precipitations occur during winter months (June is the warmest month). In the same time Adelaide is the driest city among Australian states capitals. Hail and snow are rare but sometimes occur in mountains not far from Adelaide.

Adelaide International Airport is 7 km away from the city center. Also Adelaide is connected with majority of big Australian cities by railroad communication. Public transportation network is well developed and includes buses, trams and bicycles that you can rent.
