Location. The Sofitel Alger is a modern hotel situated in the Hamma district of Algiers 100 metres from the Botanical Gardens; the city centre shopping, museums and exhibition centre are less than two kilometres away. Houari Boumediene International Airport is 18 kilometres from the hotel with an approximate driving time of 15 minutes.
Hotel Features. This modern hotel's facilities include an outdoor heated swimming pool surrounded by wooden lounge beds with mattresses and parasols. The hotel also has an indoor pool with relaxation areas and a view over the outdoor pool. After a workout in the fitness centre, guests can enjoy a sauna or massage. Expert Tip. The city is divided into two parts, the French built sector with its wide boulevards and modern architecture and the original Muslim quarter with narrow streets, numerous mosques and the 16th century Kasbah. The botanical gardens and the cathedral are both worth visiting.

Driving directions
Getting there. A bus run by ETUSA runs from the airport to the city centre. Trains also run into the city centre. A taxi from the airport should cost approximately 800 DA.
