Opened in July 2003, the 4 star Hotel Via Roma in Salzburg, was first mentioned in 1421 as the "Tavern on Rome Street", later called the "Roman Inn". Within walking distance from the historic city centre of Salzburg, the Hotel Via Roma is situated in an area called "Nonntal", near the Castle of Salzburg and the Abbey Nonnberg. The Hotel Via Roma offers a breakfast buffet, a large complimentary parking area, lift and a terrace.

The former Taverne zur Römerstraße was first mentioned in 1421 and later on it was called Römerwirt by the Salzburg locals. Our hotel is set in the district of Nonntal, next to the Old Town and south of the Hohensalzburg Fortress and the Nonnberg Convent, 10-15 minutes from the town centre.
