Dating back to medieval times, the Hirschen Inn is one of the oldest accommodations in Stams, Austria. Close to Innsbruck, which is only some km/miles from the Inn, the Hirschen is perfect as a base for exploring Tirol and its many sporting activities: biking, hiking, rafting, horse riding, playing golf, tennis, skiing and skating, just to mention a few. We are a traditionally run family hotel. Our hotel proudly reflects its historic foundations. In 1275 the former Court ‘fir tree’ was first mentioned in original documents of the famous Cistercian monastery of Stams. Since 1835 it has been a privately owned Inn. Today, we operate in both the main and an adjacent building. Our recently renovated dining room accommodates up to 150 people. A cosy atmosphere can also be enjoyed in our Hirschenstube (Deer Bar). Our spa package includes a sauna, steam room and relaxation room. Since the summer of 2009, our guests can also use our newly designed garden with a swimmingpool. A special attraction is our deer park. We pamper our guests, preferably with products from our own farm or from the local Tyrol area.
