Travel information
Cabo Frio is approximately 150 km from Rio de Janeiro.By car: Heading to Niteroi, cross the Rio-Niteroi bridge, pay the toll and take left to Rio Bonito, which is about 50 km away. After Rio Bonito, turn right (Via Lagos) following the sign Araruama / Cabo Frio (Região dos Lagos). After 70 km and having past Araruama and Sao Pedro, you will arrive in Cabo Frio. Go straight following the sign to the airport and Arraial do Cabo. After 2 km, you should see the sign 'Pousada Laguna' on your right. Turn left, then left again at the beach-front street (Rua dos Atobas) to find the pousada.By bus: Buses from the company Autoviacao 1001 take you from the Rodoviária Novo Rio to Cabo Frio. They leave every 30 minutes and approximately R$ 20 are charged for a 2-3 hour trip.From the Cabo Frio Bus Station, you can take either a taxi for about R$ 10 or a local bus going to Arraial do Cabo (R$ 2,65) and tell the driver you want to get off at Praia do Foguete - Pousada Laguna.
