Deep in the Czech Republic countryside, the Chateau Mcely is a luxury hotel in Bohemia, situated in the St George Forest area. This part of Central Bohemia is characterised by densely-wooded forests and quaint villages like Mcely, that have been here since the Middle Ages. The St George Forest area offers numerous cycling and hiking trails, and is ideal for cross country skiing in the winter. Moreover, the nearby 600-hectare Jabkenice Park features many fishing lakes and a game park where you can go hunting. Built originally in 1653, and rebuilt in 1841 in an austere Neoclassical style, the Chateau Mcely 5 star Bohemia hotel has been the country seat of many princely families, such as the Thurn und Taxis, and is a bastion of the aristocratic privilege today. Here you can experience the life-style of the elite, indulging in gourmet cuisine, pampering yourself with aromatherapy-inspired beauty and spa treatments, or sipping a glass of Champagne while soaking in the outdoor Jacuzzi. In the morning, you can go for a jog or walk around the 5-hectare park surrounding the hotel, returning for a filling breakfast. You could spend the morning reading rare books in a variety of languages in the Studiolo's extensive library, or enjoying a thermal or infra-red sauna in the Relaxation Centre. After lunch, you could play a game of croquet, petanque and badminton on the lawn, or surf the net through the free wireless internet access, finishing just in time for a spot of afternoon tea in the Tea Hall. That gives you enough time for a pre-dinner drink in the Alchemy Bar or another massage before dinner.
