The Holiday Club Katinkulta is a hotel with striking contemporary architecture surrounded by forest and situated seven kilometres from the city of Sotkamo. The 116 air conditioned guestrooms are spread over three floors and have modern decor with richly coloured fabrics and light wood furnishings. All guestrooms include satellite television with pay movies, minibars, clock radios, desks, direct dial phones, wireless Internet, trouser presses, and bathrooms with showers, bathrobes, slippers, and hair dryers.

The hotel features an 18 hole golf course, a driving range, five chipping and putting greens, a practice bunker and a pitch and putt course. There is a professional golf shop and storage for golf equipment, and guests can also challenge each other on the six lane bowling alley. Guests can visit the vibrant city of Sotkamo, seven kilometres away, or the city of Kajaani, 40 kilometres away. Kajaani Airport is also 40 kilometres from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 40 minutes.
