Area information

The Sauerland Höhenflug hiking route takes you from Altena or Meinerzhagen all the way to Korbach in Hessia. It also links up with the Rothaarsteig hiking route. The Sauerland Höhenflug covers 240 km and boasts elevations of 400-800 metres. It offers wonderful views and peaceful, idyllic landscapes.

Travel information

From Dortmund/Münster, travel along motorway A44 (Dortmund-Kassel) until you reach the Werl motorway junction. Change onto motorway A445 and continue in the direction of Arnsberg until you reach the Eslohe exit. From there, continue via Freienohl and Wenholthausen in the direction of Eslohe-Bremke. From there, continue in the direction of Reiste.From Kassel, travel on the A44 motorway until you reach the Werl motorway junction, then follow the same instructions as above.From Cologne, travel along the A4 motorway (Köln/Olpe) until you reach the Olpe motorway junction. From there, change onto motorway A45 (Dortmund-Frankfurt) and continue in the direction of Dortmund until you reach the Olpe exit. Continue via Bilstein, Grevenbrück, Cobbenrode, and Eslohe. Continue through the roundabout (2nd exit) in the direction of Meschede. Continue to Bremke and Reiste. From Frankfurt, exit the A45 motorway at Olpe, then follow the instructions stated in the previous paragraph.
