For the children there is a playground. There is a large car park directly behind the house. There is no need for you to travel in your own car in order to go on sightseeing tours to the traffic-calmed inner city of Luebeck either as there is an excellent bus service to and from the city.

From the centre of Lübeck by car: Go along the Ratzeburger Allee, the B207, in the direction of Lüneburg/ Airport Lübeck-Blankensee. Turn left before the township entrance sign saying Gross Grönau.Coming on the motorway A1, you turn on to the motorway A20 in the direction of Lübeck/ Rostock. Take exit Gross Sarau in the direction of Lübeck /Gross Grönau. Its about 4 km on your right.Coming from the motorway A20, exit Gross Sarau and turn right in the direction of Lübeck through the township of Gross Grönau for about 4 km. Turn right before the town entrance sign of "Hansestadt Lübeck".From the motorway A24 - Hamburg - Berlin, exit Talkau. Take the B207 in the direction of Lübeck/ Mölln/ Ratzeburg for about 37 km.From the main station of Lübeck it is easiest to take the bus No.6 in the direction of Lübeck-Blankensee. You get off at St.Hubertus. From there it is only about 150 yards to the hotel.The airport Lübeck-Blankensee is only 2 km away. Please phone the hotel and we will be pleased to pick you up from there.

The estate was built in 1907 and has been converted from a station for horse-drawn vehicles to a lovely small hotel. This forester's house has been run by the Grotkopp family for 4 generations.
