Business hours of reception: from 06:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The small family-run Gastinger Hotel-Restaurant is located between the towns of Suhl and Ilmenau, in direct vicinity to the Rennsteig ridgeway trail and the Vessertal biosphere reserve. It can be accessed easily via the B4 federal road. This hotel was awarded the Gastronomiepreis (a prize for gastronomic achievements) of Thuringia in 2007. The comfortable guest rooms are furnished tastefully and individually. From here, you have a magnificent view of a pristine mead, which is beautiful to look at in all seasons. The double rooms, studios and suites furthermore offer TV, telephone and a bathroom with shower, toilet and hairdryer. Traditional Thuringian and international specialties are served in the distinct and typical ambience of our restaurant. Gourmet meals and à la carte dishes are also offered for celebrations. Apart from a visit to the Goethe Museum in the town of Stützerbach and of the first German thermometre museum in the town of Geraberg, we highly recommend a hike through the near Vessertal or a carriage ride through the snowy Thuringian Forest in winter.
