The rich ecology makes it home to many rare species of flora and fauna and is a naturalist's dream.Blarney Castle (25 km) - While visiting, you may want to kiss the Blarney Stone. The castle was built around 1446 on a solid limestone mound. Walk the grounds to see a druid circle made of stones, explore the witches stove, or enter Blarney's dungeon.
By Car:- Macroom is a busy market town on the Cork-Killarney road, 40 km from Cork and 38 km from Blarney.
