Location. Mount Zion Hotel is a boutique hotel that is part of the history of Jerusalem. The original 1882 stone building, which was the site of the Hospital of St. John, is situated next to the Karaite Cemetery. The Old City is four kilometres to the north and the Israel Museum is six kilometres to the west. Ben Gurion Tel Aviv Airport is 45 kilometres from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 60 minutes.
Hotel Features. Tiled walkways wind through the geranium filled garden and lead to the pool, open during the summer months. The full service spa offers treatments and massages and includes a Turkish Hamam, sauna, and outdoor jetted tub. The rooftop observatory overlooks the Old City, Mount Zion, the Mount of Olives, and the Judean Desert. Internet stations (surcharge) are available in the lobby, and ballroom and banquet facilities along with event catering services offer options for family celebrations and business events.

Mount Zion Hotel's restaurant, the Dining Room, is set within the old stone walls of the original citadel and serves an Israeli breakfast buffet and four or five course lunches and dinners. The Lobby Bar and Coffee Shop serves a dairy menu and has marble columns rising from the marble floor, as well as fine local views. During the summer months, snacks are available by the poolside in the geranium filled garden.

Guestrooms. The hotel's 134 air conditioned guestrooms are spread over six floors and are accessible by lift. All guestrooms have contemporary furniture and cream coloured walls, and satin, patterned floor length drapes, pillows, and bolsters add Middle Eastern accents. All include central heating, satellite television, and wireless Internet.

Expert Tip. Jerusalem has a mountain climbing club, and the climbing is done on the cliff under the hotel leading to the Hinnom Valley.

Getting there. From the entrance to Jerusalem (gas stations on left) follow signed marked City Center. Continue past Binyanei Ha'uma on the right. At first traffic light, bear right onto Sderot Ytzhak Ben Zvi. At third traffic light, turn left onto Derech Ruppin. Continue straight through the first traffic light onto Ramban. At the end of Ramban turn right onto Arlozorov and immediately turn left onto Bein Maimon. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Keren Hayesod and continue for five traffic lights. At the fifth traffic light turn left and immediately right onto David Remez. Continue past the train station and at the first traffic light, turn left onto Derech Hebron, the Mount Zion Hotel will be on the right. Parking is on the left opposite the hotel.
