The Agnello d'Oro is a lovely hotel located in an ancient and picturesque alley in the historic centre of Genoa. The construction of Vico delle Monachette, where the property is located, dates back to 1580 and originally hosted the convent of the Teresiane Scalze. The building still preserves the structure of the ancient convent, with the original large windows that look onto the courtyard and a section of external frame of 150 centimeters. The original construction was modified by the noble lady Maddalena Centuriona in 1840, to create a school which remained open until 1849. Today, fully refurbished, the property still feels like an old time inn but with pleasant and luminous rooms and modern furnishings. From the windows in the attic, guests can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the historic centre and the ancient port.
