Situated in one of the most beautiful and characteristic small bays of the area, in the small village of Praiano, the hotel overlooks the picturesque beach of La Praia.Rooms at Hotel Alfonso A Mare have majolica flooring and some feature a balcony overlooking the sea.Praiano is the last remaining mariner's village of the coast, at just 7 km from Amalfi and Positano, the hotel is also just a few steps away from the crystal-clear sea.During your stay you can take advantage of the hotel’s facilities, including: a solarium with bar service; pedal boats; wooden rowing boats (all used to reveal hidden beaches, paradise corners and unexpected grottos); a scuba diving centre with modern equipments to discover the precious depth of the sea; and daily departures to Positano, Amalfi, Capri and for all the other localities of the Amalfi Coast.

Travel information

By car:From the north: - Take the Autostrada (motorway) del Sole.- Exit at Naples. - Follow signs for Salerno - Reggio Calabria (A3). - Exit towards Castellammare di Stabia. - From this exit, follow signs for Sorrento and Positano. - Please note:between Caserta and Naples there is a traffic detour towards the A30 motorway with a sign post stating Amalfi Coast; do not take this road, follow straight ahead until you reach Naples.From the South: - Take the Reggio Calabria - Salerno motorway.- Exit towards Salerno. - Follow signs for the Amalfi Coast. - Continue on this road past Amalfi, after which you reach Praiano.- There is also another option: Do not get off the motorway in Salerno but continue on this road until you reach Castellamare di Stabia. Take the exit at Castellamare di Stabia. From here, follow the same directions as above.By air: Napoli and Fiumicino, Rome are the closest airports.If you arrive at the International Airport of Naples, the hotel suggests that you to book a taxi, or the hotel can organise a taxi for you. Otherwise, you can take a bus (company named Curreri) from the airport to Sorrento. From Sorrento, you need to take another bus (company named Sita) to Praiano.If you arrive at Leonardo Da Vinci (Fiumicino, Rome), you can also book a taxi or the hotel can organise a taxi for you. Otherwise, there is a train service that runs from Fiumicino to the centre of Rome – Termini and Tiburtina station. From these 2 destinations you need to take another train, directly to Naples. Please see details above for directions from Naples to your final destination. From the Tiburtina station there are direct connections to Sorrento and also to Praiano using a bus service called Marozzi.
