Lunch and dinner are prepared from local seasonal ingredients.This family-run hotel is owned by a cross-country ski instructor who runs a ski school in the winter. There are 200 metres of cross-country runs behind the hotel, and alpine slopes on nearby Mount Thurntaler.The Walter is a 3-minute walk from San Candido Train Station, with connections to Fortezza and Salzburg. Buses to Cortina and Bolzano stop 100 metres from the hotel. The hotel provides free parking.
